Wadhurst A finished their season off in style by beating Bayham & Lamberhurst A 40-25 in division one, B.Crittle beat E.Boorman 21-13 and S.Dadswell’s triple secured a 19-12 win over S.Hoar, Bayham finish in fifth place. Tunbridge Wells A finished in runners up position with a win over Pembury, M.Milgate drew with R.Allen 15-15 while J.Paching’s triple had a comfortable 23-13 win against L.Birnie’s triple, Pembury stay third. Calverley A played their other team Calverley B, the B team started well with G.Barham’s triple winning 23-15 over B.Holmwood but P.Best’s triple for the A team fought back to win 26-18 against M.Guntrip’s triple, points shared 3-3, the A team finish in last place and the B team keep their fourth place. Calverley A found it hard going after their one season in this division, so back to division two to try again. In division two leaders Grosvenor took all six points to clinch the title. Grosvenor were at home and playing bottom place Bayham & Lamberhurst B, both triples for the home side were on form with G.Bridges beating D.Parks 20-9 and N.Barton’s triple winning 22-11 over K.Patterson’s triple, Bayham finish last and in the relegation zone. Wadhurst B played at home and up against second place Groombridge, the home side took the first points thanks to W.Hooder’s triple gaining a close 15-14 win against K.Brand’s triple, in the other triple skipped by P.Malyan they could not find their form losing 20-9 to G.Parsons triple, Groombridge are runners up. Third place Grove A travelled away to play Speldhurst A, the first match finished as a draw, P.Branchett played I.Vann’s 18-18 but with R.Arnold’s triple for the home side finding their form to beat T.Morgan’s triple 20-11, both teams finish third and fourth respectively. Both Wadhurst and Bayham will be relegated after one season in division two. Grove B completed a 6-0 win against Culverden in division three thanks to J.Lowrie’s triple winning 21-14 over G.Bryant’s triple and H.Nutting’s triple 25-16 win against G.Styles, Culverden drop to fifth place. Speldhurst B were at home and needed to get maximum points playing their old rivals Bidborough. E.Baker’s triple for the home side had a close first win beating B.Liddell 16-15 but N.Waller’s triple fought back for Bidborough to win 20-10, Bidborough finish runners up and promotion while Speldhurst finish their season in fifth place. Southborough were destined to finish in last place, up against Tunbridge Wells B P.Barrett’s triple had no answer to D.Hamore’s triple winning 22-16, the home side did manage to clinch a point thanks to B.Gregory drawing 16-16 with T.Prince’s triple, Tunbridge Wells finish third just two points behind second place.
