Conditions of Play

1.

The current laws of the E.B.A., except as modified herein, shall apply to all games.

The first round singles and the subsequent rounds, except the Semi-Finals and Finals shall be limited to TWO HOURS THIRTY MINUTES. The winner shall be the first player to score 21 shoots or if the time limit is imposed the player with the greatest number of shots at the time. If a tie results from the setting of this time limit a deciding end will be played even though the time limit is exceeded.

The Pairs matches, except for the Semi-Finals and Finals shall be limited to THREE HOURS, at the end of which time the side having scored the greatest number of shots shall be declared the winner, even though the full number of ends has not been played. If a tie results from the setting of a time limit, a deciding end shall be played even though the time limit is exceeded.

TRIPLES – TIME IS UNRESTRICTED

Stewards in charge of Greens MUST give a 10 minute warning to players likely to exceed the above time limits. Except in the case of a tie, no new end may be commenced if the time remaining before the end of a limited period is less than five minutes.

A Tournament Control Committee is empowered to decide any problems arising in the course of the tournament other than those within the jurisdiction of the Umpire or Green Steward. This Committee consists of ANY THREE or MORE of the following Tournament Officials: the President, the Chairman, the Secretary, the Treasurer and the Umpire (on those days when he is in attendance).

Any player who is more than 15 minutes late for an event shall be disqualified.

SHOULD A COMPETITOR FIND HIMSELF IN MORE THAN ONE FINAL THE TOURNAMENT COMMITTEE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO REARRANGE THE PROGRAMME, BUT THE SINGLES FINAL SHALL REMAIN AS STATED. (14:30)
